To ensure uniqueness througout the transmission of wagers via ITSP, CHRIMS assigns and maintains a database of source codes, customer codes, and event codes.

CHRIMS maintains the first two characters of the Event Codes, according to the TRA Settlement File Specification, section 2.2 and 2.7. Event Codes are made up of a standard two character identifier, plus one additional character as defined in the TRA Settlement File Specification to be any single character such as:

• D for Day
• M for Matinee
• E for Evening
• T for Twilight
• N for Night
• S for Special 1
• Z for Special 2

Or any single character other than listed above. Currently, each site identified by an event code is responsible for defining the meaning of the third character in the event codes used and notifying the guests which will participate in each event.
